Match On Action Video
What we did well:
- Most of our scenes had good continuity and matched up well together.
- We didn't have the problem of camera clicks or sounds not matching up as we put music over the top.
- We made our angles match well as it was hard to tell that only one camera was used and added to the effect of the video.
Improvements:
- We could fade and overlap the sound more so they transition better.
- Some of the clips could have more continuity as some were slightly out of tie or didn't match up perfectly.
- We didn't cut out all the original sound so the person filming can be heard.
- Also when the two girls meet it looks like there is a shot missing between them hugging and walking out of the toilet.
Learning comment:
From doing this task I have learned how to use the technique of match on action and that it helps build effect to a scene. I also learned how to embed sound effects and music into the video and noticed how much it adds to the continuity of the scene. This task was useful as learned many filming and editing techniques which improve the overall look of the scene. I've also learnt how to successfully use the technique of math on action this will make it easier when doing a longer scene that uses other techniques such as shot reverse shot as well. Additionally this has been good practice for our final task of producing our own opening to a film.
