Character Profiles

From doing this task I've learnt that it is important to give the characters in the film/opening background and a lot of information to make them more realistic and make the audience believe in them more, it may also give the actors inspiration on how to approach playing the character if they know more about their personality, position in the narrative and their relationship with the other characters. For example in our opening the protagonist find her first ' boyfriend' in the forest and doesn't know what has happened to him or if he is okay this shows that it is important for the character to know the nature of the relationship as they may react differently to finding her boyfriend to a friend or a brother. It is also good to make character profiles so it is easier to ensure that the chosen actor fully fits the role and will portray them and their personality in the way the director/writer has intended.
