Test Shots
We tried to do a pull focus shot on CSLR camera to make our shots and opening more interesting.
We've found a light from Scewfix that we are going to use when filming our opening sequence because it will be dark when we are filming which could make the picture grainy and unclear.
To test the light we found a dark room and made a short video with and without the light to see how powerful it was and how much impact it would make to our filming.
WITHOUT LIGHT:
WITH LIGHT:
These videos show how bright the light is and how much it will benefit our opening sequence as it makes the picture a lot clearer and a lot more of the surroundings can be seen.
LIGHT TURNED OFF:

LIGHT TURNED ON:

This is the light we will use when filming, we feel it will be good as it will make the shots clearer and it has a good handle making it easy to carry and it will be easy to move it with the camera or actors. Also it's quite small so is easily portable and won't weigh much and although its small the light is very powerful.
Learning Comment:
The test shots have been very useful as we have researched different kinds of shots which has given us inspiration for our own opening and we have been able to add a variety of different shots to our scene which will add interest and technique. It also been useful as we have been able to experiment with which shorts worked well and which didn't and work out where we could add them in our narrative and shot list and were able to practise and try and perfect different shots such as 'pull focus' which will make our opening sequence look more professional and authentic as it will be less shaky. Additionally, We were able to try out the light and see how powerful it was and how much effect it would have and we able to practise using it when filming and decide whether or not it was needed when filming our actual opening sequence.
